Josh originates from Oxford, UK. After studying Fine Art Photography at Universiy of the Arts London he worked as a portrait photographer and videographer at Studio8 in Kidlington. This was back in 2013 and was the time the Canon 5D Mark II was the everyday workhorse. More and more clients were asking for video content and this role exposed Josh to all sides of video produciton.

In 2013, Josh joined a video production agency where he spent several years developing his skills as a Director and Director of Photography. Alongside creative work, he played an active role in managing productions, overseeing budgets and timelines, preparing casting briefs, handling release forms, coordinating travel, and supporting post-production workflows.

Since 2016, Josh has worked as a freelance filmmaker, collaborating with clients, studios, and creative teams to produce thoughtful, well-crafted films across a range of formats. His work increasingly focuses on documentary and interview-led projects, including developer diaries and in-studio films for game studios and publishers, where he works directly with creators to tell authentic stories about the people and process behind their work.
